What is Petchie.com?
When I started humanitarian work in
Ethiopia during the mid 1980s, there
was no email, no Internet.
I could not share my experiences of life
in Africa, Asia and the Middle East with
many others. Now I can.
This website has been compiled from
the numerous letters and emails sent
to friends and family. I hope that this
site's offerings will provide the reader
with an insight into what happens to
aid workers as they tackle the
problems of culture, crisis and
disaster. It is what happened to me.
I set out to write for my family and
friends. It is they whom I miss the
most when I am at work. However,
anyone is welcome to log in and see
what this site contains.
So, for those of you that know me, and
those that do not, I submit this in the
hope that it will entertain and inform.
Best Wishes to you all
Chris Petch
